PRAYER FOR FATHER PAUL AND OUR PARISH –
We pray for our priests,
Remembering those who are burdened or unwell.
We pray especially for our priest Father Paul,
In your love and mercy
Heal and strengthen him.

For each one of us is frail.
We can do nothing without you.

Through the power of your Spirit
Grant us healing and the forgiveness of all our sins:
The grace to love you, with our whole heart;
Obeying your Will in all things.
Grant too, the grace to love each other
Even as Jesus has loved us.

In your merciful love,
Lead us all to our heavenly home,
Place of eternal blessedness
Where in Everlasting Joy
And in union with Mary the Mother of Jesus,
With all the angels and saints
With the whole company of Heaven,
We may praise and bless you,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit
For ever and ever. Amen.

O gentlest Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on the souls of thy servants. Be not severe in Thy judgement, but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon our beloved departed, and do Thou, O merciful Saviour, send Thy angels to conduct the souls of Thy servants to a place of refresment and peace. Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE BLESSED POPE JOHN PAUL II COMMUNITY CENTRE.

Blessed are you, Lord God, ruler of all creation: you know our hearts and our plans, and guide all that we do in your name.

Grant that this project may be for your honour and for the benefit of all your people. May all who work to bring it to completion be guided and inspired by a vision that comes from you. Bring many to share that vision and respond with generous hearts.

May this new building always be used for your glory and the good of the people of this community.

We ask this, father, in the name of Jesus your Son.

Lord, may those whom you call to enter the priesthood, diaconate or religious life have the courage and generosity to answer your call. Amen.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS.

JESUS, God made Man, who didst come down from heaven to save sinners and to diffuse thy Charity throughout the world, it is thy Will that souls shall be brought to thee through the members of thy Church who are called to dedicate their lives to thy service. We pray therefore that many may hear thy call, some to the sacred priesthood, others to the life of prayer in the cloister or of dedication to the works of mercy; to feeding the hungry, to sheltering the orphan and the aged, to healing the sick and to instructing our children.

Multiply among us churches which are truly houses of prayer and priests who are men of God. Make our Catholic homes fortresses against the influence of the wicked and the worldly; inspire both parents and children with the spirit of self-sacrifice. Bless our schools wherein those same children are taught to seek first the Kingdom of God. Teach us all how great an honour it is to hear thy voice inviting us to follow thee.

The harvest, Lord Jesus, is great but the labourers are still too few. Send labourers, dear Lord, into fields ripe for the harvest.

Mary, through whom all graces come, multiply vocations to the service of thy Son.
